I am from a small town in South Africa. Growing up, I always had a passion for music. Ever since I could remember, I’ve wanted nothing more than to be a professional musician. Initially, I achieved some success as a member of a band that played local events, but eventually we drifted apart and I found myself at a crossroads in my life.
I decided that if I were ever to achieve my dream, I would have to travel to the only place that gave me only the slightest chance of making it really big: The US.
Lucky for me, my father had better long-term vision than I did at the time. Picturing me sitting on a street corner busking for change with a hat at my feet, he grabbed me before I could impulsively jump on that plane and sat me down for a serious conversation. He told me that the world was a rough place … and the music business roughest of all.
Before he would allow me to walk into the jaws of that particular lion, he wanted to be sure that I had some sort of financial security to fall back on. That’s when my father first introduced me to Forex trading. Forex is the buying and selling of foreign currencies.
It can be done online and the markets are open 24 hours per day, 5 days per week. You can trade from anywhere and you can spend as much or as little time doing it as you like. Because the values of foreign currencies against each other are constantly rising and falling, there is a huge opportunity to make a lot of money very quickly … once you know what you are doing, that is!
Before taking such a huge risk by leaving my home and traveling to the US, I agreed to spend some time learning about Forex and how to successfully trade. Together, we found an online site where I could open up a “demo account” in which I traded with “paper” money. To my surprise, I found that I had a real talent for it.
With my demo account, the money kept rolling in. That’s when I decided to try my hand at live trading. I withdrew my last $1,000 out of the bank and opened an online account. According to my calculations based on my trial trading, it would take me only about 12 months to turn that nest egg into the $50,000 I would need to be off to the US in pursuit of musical fame and fortune!
Boy, was I wrong! I lost my entire investment within the first 30 days. I went back to the drawing board and returned to demo trading to figure out what went wrong. Convinced I had the answer, I took out a loan for another $1,000 and tried again … and promptly lost that money faster than the first go-around.
I’m not telling you this to scare you off, but to illustrate that if you don’t know what you are doing, Forex trading can be brutal. Yet, like anything else in life, it’s not how many times you get knocked down, but how many times you get back up again that matters most.
Today, I’m happy to tell you that I have worked out a trading system that consistently brings me enough profits to support my musical career. My Forex systems have earned more than $300,000. I earn more than enough money through my Forex trading and am happily living my dream of…
